Anand K. Pandurangi
Anand K. Pandurangi, M.B.B.S., M.D., serves as a Professor of psychiatry, the Director of Schizophrenia Program, Brain Stimulation Therapy Program Chairman, Medical Director of Division of Inpatient Psychiatry, and Vice Chair at the Department of Psychiatry, Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Virginia, USA. He is a recipient of national and international awards. He has been serving as a Principal Investigator of >28 grants including FIRST Award (NIMH) and grants from universities and industry. His interest and expertise include schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, refractory depression, tardive dyskinesia, structural and functional brain imaging, antipsychotics, stimulation therapies (ECT, TMS, VNS, and DBS), hospital psychiatry, and public-academic liaison and mental health policy. On these topics, he has over 180 publications, including original articles, reviews, case reports, book chapters, letters, and abstracts with original data. He is Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, Overseas Life Fellow of the Indian Psychiatric Society, and a Member of several scientific societies, community and mental health boards, and advocacy groups.
