Luisa Frati is Project manager (since 2006) and President (since 2010) of TerraData environmetrics, a spin-off company of the University of Siena. She obtained the degree in Natural Science (2000) and received her Ph.D. degree (2006) from the same university with a thesis on the effects of nitrogen pollution on biodiversity of epiphytic lichens. Her field of expertise is the monitoring and biomonitoring of air pollution. In particular, her research interests address the application of bioindication and bioaccumulation techniques by means of lichens and vascular plants and the study of the environmental alteration in risk areas. She is author of c.a. 40 peer-reviewed publications, 27 of which are published in international journals, and of more than 50 conference communications.
