Sheng Zhang was born in Liaoning, China, in 1975. He received a M.A. degree in basic mathematics from Bohai University, Liaoning, China, and a Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics from Dalian University of Technology, Liaoning, China. Since 2012, he has been serving as Professor at the Department of Mathematics, Bohai University, Liaoning, China. In 2001, he served as a Research Fellow at the Bohai University, Liaoning, China. From 2006 to 2008, he was one of the academic cadres at the Bohai University, Liaoning, China, and was appointed as the Academic Leader in 2009. In 2009, he was selected as one of the Baiqianwan Talents of Liaoning Province, China. Presently, he works as a Professor of basic mathematics, the key subject of Liaoning Province, China. He is mainly interested in partial differential equations: exact solutions, soliton theory, integrable systems, and symbolic computation. In 2007, he received the Natural Scientific Academic Accomplishment Award of Liaoning Province, China. In 2009, one of his papers was evaluated to be from the top 100 most cited Chinese papers published in international journals. In 2015, he was evaluated as one of the Most Cited Chinese Researchers by Elsevier. He has published more than 60 articles in ISI-listed journals, where the total citations are more than 1000 and his H-index is 22.
