Giuseppe Pascazio graduated in Mechanical Engineering at the Università degli Studi di Bari in 1989. In 1991 he completed with honours the Post graduate Diploma course in Turbomachinery at the von Karman Institute in Bruxelles. He received a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the Politecnico di Bari in 1993 and during the period 1994-95 he carried out a post-doctoral research activity at the Politecnico di Bari. In 1995 he became assistant professor at the Politecnico di Bari and, then, associate professor in 2000. In 2003 he became full professor at the same University. He is chairman of the Ph.D. program in Mechanical Engineering and Management of the Politecnico di Bari. He is co-author of about 140 scientific papers, about forty being published on international journals or book chapters. From 1990 to 1996, he has been involved in two research projects, Brite/EURAM AERO-2037-C e AER2-CT-0040, supported by the European Community, with the participation of European Universities and Research Centers and industries. He collaborated to the Tempus Programme "Engineering curricula development and improvement in the energy field", supported by the European Community in the period 15.12.1997-31.05.2001, aimed at the improvement of the Energy Curriculum at the Technical University of Tirana; the project involved also the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and the University of Limerick (Ireland). He participates as group leader to the research activity of the "Centro di Eccellenza di Meccanica Computazionale" at the Politecnico di Bari, supported by MIUR (CofinLab2000). He is referee of several international journals.
