Denis Mottet

Denis Mottet was born on November 24, 1976, in Belgium. He received a Sciences degree in biological sciences, specialized in molecular and cellular biology, and a Ph.D. degree in biological sciences entitled “Study of the post-translational regulation of HIF-1 activity in hypoxic conditions” from the University of Namur, Belgium, in 1999 and 2004, respectively. From 2004 to 2005, he did a postdoctoral fellowship at the Metastasis Research Laboratory headed by Professor Vincent Castronovo, University of Liege, Belgium. From 2005 to 2007, he was a Research Associate of the National Fund for Scientific Research, University of Liege, Belgium. Since October 2009, he has been a Research Associate of the National Fund for Scientific Research, University of Liege, Belgium. Moreover, he has been a Member of the Editorial Boards of TheScientificWorldJOURNAL (since 2011) and of ISRN Biochemistry (since 2012). His scientific publications include “Role of ERK and calcium in the hypoxia-induced activation of HIF-1,” “Role for casein kinase 2 in the regulation of HIF-1 activity,” and “Hypoxia-induced activation of HIF-1: role of HIF-1alpha-Hsp90 interaction.”
