Lingxin Chen received his doctorate in analytical chemistry from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Dalian, China, in 2003. After two years post-doctoral experience in Department of Chemistry, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, he joined first as a BK21 researcher and then as a research professor in Department of Applied Chemistry, Hanyang University, Ansan, Korea, in 2006. He returned to China in 2009 to join as a full professor in Yantai Institute of Coastal Zone Research, under the program of One Hundred Outstanding Young Chinese Scientists, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Yantai, China. His research interests include microfluidic analysis systems, microscale fluid manipulation, chromatographic separation techniques (capillary HPLC and CE) and optical sensor technologies for environmental pollutant analysis using novel properties of materials such as molecularly imprinted polymers.
