Tania Silvia Fröde
Tania Silvia Fröde is a teacher of clinical immunology to the Undergraduate Program of Pharmacy and Biochemistry at Federal University of Santa Catarina, a teacher of inflammation to the Postgraduate Program (M.S. and Ph.D.) of Pharmacy and Medical Science at Federal University of Santa Catarina, and a teacher of adverse reaction of drugs to the Postgraduate Program (M.S. and Ph.D.) of Pharmacy at Federal University of Santa Catarina. She is a Member of the Brazilian Society of Immunology. She received the Ph.D. degree in pharmacology science from Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), Brazil, in 2000, entitled "Mediators and mechanisms involved in the mouse model of pleurisy induced by carrageenan." She received the M.S. degree in pharmacology science from Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), Brazil, in 1996, entitled "Analysis of asthmatic drugs, bradykinin and Substance P in the mouse model of pleurisy." In 1986-1987, she developed a specialty in immunology in Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), Brazil. She received the B.S. degree in pharmacy and biochemistry from Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), Brazil, in 1983. Her Research interests include experimental models: studying the inflammation process using animal models such as pleurisy induced by different phlogistic agents and air pouch model induced by carrageenan in mice, and also studying the anti-inflammatory properties of plants and new drugs that have some potential anti-inflammatory effects in the mouse model of inflammation (pleurisy and air pouch); Humans: researches involve allergy prior latex allergy (hypersensibility I), diabetes disease, and rheumatoid arthritis. She also works as a referee of the following journals: Journal of Ethnopharmacology, Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, and Diabetic Medicine.
