Min-Chie Chiu received his M.S. degree from the Mechanical Engineering Department of Stevens Institute of Technology, New Jersey, USA in 1989. Besides, he received his Ph.D. degree from the Mechanical Engineering Department of Tatung University, Taipei, Taiwan in 2005. From 1990 to 2006, he joined CTCI, a consultant company, as a Senior Engineer. He developed practical design work in noise and vibration control during his employment with the company. In 2006, he joined the Faculty of the Department of Automation and Control Engineering at ChungChou Institute of Technology, Taiwan as an Assistant Professor. His current research interests include noise and vibration control, optimization, and automation. He published one hundred papers in the international journals. He is currently an Associate Professor at the Chung Chou University of Science and Technology.
