Rory McDonnell

Rory McDonnell received the Ph.D. degree (2004) in applied ecology from National University of Ireland, Galway, Ireland; the Certificate in Tropical Ecology and Conservation (1998) Makerere University Biological Field Station, Kibale, Uganda; a degree in environmental science from National University of Ireland, Galway. McDonnell is currently employed as a Research Specialist in the Department of Entomology, University of California, Riverside, Calif, USA. On a broad scale, McDonnell's research interests fall into the categories of invasive species management, biological control, insect ecology, invertebrate genetics, and the conservation of endangered mollusks, more specifically, taxonomy and biogeography of gastropods of economic importance; biological control of nuisance Mollusca; population genetics of invasive gastropods and the populations dynamics of endangered mollusks.
