Taekyun KIM received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Kyungpook National University, South Korea, in 1987 and 1989, respectively, and his Ph.D. degree in mathematics from Kyushu University, Fukuoka, JAPAN, in 1994.
He has been at Kyungpook National University( Lecturer (1994-1996), BK Professor of EECS (2006-2008)), Korean Minjok Leadership Academy( Teacher, Math (1999-2000)),The Naval Academy(Lecturer, 1996-1999), Kongju National University( Research Professor(2001-2006)), Simon Fraser university( CECM Visitor(1999-2001)), Jangjeon Research Institute for Mathematical Sciences and Physics(Founder and researcher( 1994-)). Since 2008, he has been a Professor at the Department of Mathematics, Kwangwoon University, Seoul, Republic of Korea. His fields of research include number theory (p-adic analysis, p-adic Mathematical Physics, Dedekind sums, Transcendental numbers, zeta functions, q-zeta functions...) and information Sciences. Moreover, he is an Editor for Advanced Studies in Contemporary Mathematics , Proceedins of the Jangjeon Mathematical Society, International Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences(IJMMS, Hindawi), British Journal of Mathematics & Computer Science (web: http://www.sciencedomain.org/about-journal.php?id=6)... etc. He has 160 publications in SCI journals. His Ph.D. thesis is “On the q-Analogue of p-Adic Log Gamma and L-Functions"
