Dr. Edward J. Ciaccio received his M.S. (1989) and Ph.D. (1993) in bioengineering from Rutgers University / The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He received an Established Investigator Award from the American Heart Association (1998-2002). Dr. Ciaccio was a member of the research staff and faculty of the Department of Pharmacology, Columbia University Medical Center from 1990-2010 and recently joined the Division of Cardiology – Department of Medicine, Columbia University Medical Center. He is interested in biosignal analysis (cardiac electrophysiology), and also works part time for the Division of Liver and Digestive Diseases in bioimage analysis (videocapsule studies for diagnosis of celiac disease).
