Rüdiger Weiner

Rüdiger Weiner graduated from Kharkov State University in 1977 and received his Doctoral degree (1981) and his habilitation (1989) from Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg. Since 1993, he has been a Professor for Scientific Computing at the Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg and the Director of the Institute of Numerical Mathematics there for the period between 1999 and 2006. He is a Member of the Organizing Committee of the International Series of Conferences “NUMDIFF.” His research interests are the numerical solution of ordinary and time-dependent partial differential equations.
