Timothy G. Dinan

Timothy G. Dinan is a Professor of psychiatry at the University College Cork. He was previously as the Chair of Clinical Neurosciences and a Professor of psychological medicine at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, UK. Prior to that, he was a Senior Lecturer of psychiatry at Trinity College Dublin. He has worked in research laboratories on both sides of the Atlantic and has a Ph.D. degree in pharmacology from the University of London, UK. He is a Fellow of the Royal Colleges of Physicians and Psychiatrists and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He has published over 180 papers and numerous books on the pharmacology and neurobiology of affective disorders. His papers have been published widely in journals such as Nature, Brain Research, British Medical Journal, American Journal of Psychiatry, The British Journal of Psychiatry, Clinical Endocrinology, Metabolism.
