Italian National Research Council, Italy

Laurent Gosse was born in Maubeuge, France on March, 9th 1969. He received the Diploma degree (Baccalaureat) while studying at the military "Lycée Naval de Brest" in 1986. Further he received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees both in Mathematics from Universities of Lille 1 and Paris IX Dauphine in 1991 and 1997 respectively. From 1997 to 1999 he was a TMR postdoc student in IACM-FORTH (Heraklion, Crete) working on hyperbolic balance laws, mostly well-balanced numerical schemes and a posteriori error estimates. From 1999 to 2001, he was postdoc in Universtity of L'Aquila (Italy) working on theoretical aspects of systems of balance laws and multiphase WKB computations in geometrical optics (mainly relying on Brenier's K-multibranch solutions). In 2001, he moved to University of Pavia working on diffusive relaxation schemes, degenerate parabolic equations and semiclassical WKB approximation in crystals. From 2002, he holds a permanent researcher position at CNR in Bari (Italy).
