Changmei Liu has a Ph.D. degree. She works as an Associate Professor, the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China. Dr. Liu's research is focused on the following areas: (i) epigenetic mechanisms in adult neurogenesis, (ii) oligonucleotides, siRNA, shRNA, and gene delivery, and (iii) construction of plasmid and retrovirus and lentivirus-based gene and shRNA expression systems. These systems are being tested in neurogenesis, myogenesis, hepatitis B, and brain diseases. Dr. Liu is also working to understand the epigenetic pathways in the axon growth. Some of Dr. Liu's important findings have been published in top journals such as Cell Stem Cell, Neuron, Plos Genetics, Human Gene Therapy, Journal of Biological Chemistry, Gene Therapy, Cancer Gene therapy, and Journal of Molecular Medicine.
