Stefan Berti is an Associate Professor at the Department of Psychology, Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz, Mainz, Rhineland Palatinate, Germany. Berti obtained the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in psychology in 1998 and 2011, respectively, from the University of Leipzig, Leipzig, Saxony, Germany. He became a Postdoc Research Assistant at the Institute for Psychology, University of Leipzig, from 2001 to 2003, and an Assistant Professor of cognitive sciences at the Department of Psychology, Johannes Gutenberg University from 2003 to 2009. Berti's main research focus is in the area of cognitive neuropsychology, in particular EEG and event-related brain potentials, ERP, and his research is currently aimed at understanding the cognitive and neural basis of attention, working memory, and cognitive control.
