Mehmet Yaman received his Ph.D. degree in 1990 from the University of Inonu, Turkey. He was appointed as an Associated Professor at University of Firat, Turkey. Since 2002, he has been chaired as a Full Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the University of Firat. He has a track record of more than 80 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals. He acts as an Invited Speaker in international lectures and has given more than 100 talks for national and international conferences. He serves as a Referee for more than 10 peer-reviewed journals in the fields of chemistry and environment. His research spans the preconcentration and determination of trace metals in biological, environmental, and food matrices. Within these studies, the following elements are of special interest: lead, cadmium, nickel, and copper. Furthermore, He started the determinations of trace organic compounds such as flavonoids, PAHs, and acrylamide in medicinal plants and grilled food items by using HPLC-MS in recent years.
