Emmanouil Saloustros is a medical oncologist specialized in the treatment of adult patients with different solid tumors. He graduated from the University of Thessalia, School of Medicine, and he did both his residency and fellowship at University Hospital of Heraklion, Crete, Greece. He did his thesis work on circulating tumor cells and postdoc research at Clinical Genetics Service, MSKCC, NY, USA, and at the Department of Endocrinology and Genetics, NICHD, Md, USA. In his daily practice, he mostly treats patients with lung, breast, and GI malignancies. However, his research focuses on hereditary cancer syndromes, and he has established a clinic that serves patients from the hospitals of Heraklion. He also serves as a reviewer for research articles on the fields of his interest.
