Refaat E. Gabr received his B.S. and M.S.
degrees in biomedical engineering from
Cairo University, Egypt, in 2000 and 2003,
respectively. He was appointed as a Teaching
Assistant in the same university in 2000,
where he participated in teaching random
signal analysis, data structures, and analog
and digital electronics. He was a part-time
engineer in Egypt in the period between 2002 and 2004,
designing and implementing control and automation systems for industry. In 2004, he joined the Department of Electrical and Computer
Engineering at the Johns Hopkins University as a Ph.D. student,
where he is doing research in magnetic resonance imaging.
Refaat Gabr research interests include signal and image processing, medical imaging, magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and magnetic resonance imaging.
