Jordan Hristov

Jordan Hristov was born in 1954, Dupnitza town. He received the M.S. degree in electrical engineering (measurements) from Technical University, Sofia, 1979, and the Ph.D. degree in chemical engineering in 1995. His scientific interests are fluid dynamics: two-phase flows, multiphase flows, transport phenomena in external physical fields; fluidization, different versions; separation processes, sedimentation, aerosol filtration, and heavy metal recovery by means of natural adsorbents; fire, risk, and safety. Hristov was on the editorial boards of Bio-Magnetic Research and Technology, since 2002, Thermal Science, since 2003 (Regional Editor for Bulgaria), China Particuology, since 2005 (Member of the International Advisory Board). He was guest editor of Thermal Science journal, special issues dedicated to Adrian Bejan, and special issue on fire, and China Particuology journal, special issue on Magnetic Particulate Systems. He refereed the following journals: Powder Technology, since 1990, AIChE, Industrial and Chemical Research, Reactive and Functional Polymers, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Journal of Aerosol Science, International Journal of Chemical Reactor Engineering, Chemical Engineering Science, Current Applied Physics, Current Applied Physics, Chemical Engineering and Processing, Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, International Journal of Numerical Methods for Heat and Fluid Flow, Biochemical Engineering Journal, Physical Separation in Science and Engineering.
