Sergio Polidoro received the Laurea degree in mathematics, Bologna University, Bologna, Italy, in February 1988. In June 1994, he received the Ph.D. degree in mathematics from the same university. He was an Assistant Professor in 1991, and then an Associate Professor in mathematical analysis in 1998. His research interests are regularity theory for solutions to Second Order Partial Differential Equations with nonnegative characteristic form and application to mathematical finance, Harnack inequalities, boundary regularity, asymptotic bounds for positive solution to degenerate Kolmogorov-Fokker-Planck equations, and interior regularity theory for classical and weak solutions to linear second order PDEs with nonnegative characteristic form.
