Luis F. Goulao
Luis F. Goulao has a degree in agronomic engineering (plant breeding), postgraduation in sustainable agriculture and horticulture, and a Ph.D. in plant molecular biology (postharvest). Currently, he works as a Researcher at the BioTrop Center of the Tropical Research Institute (Instituto de InvestigaÇ ão Científica Tropical, IICT), in Portugal. He develops his scientific activity in the areas of plant sciences and agricultural research for development. He focuses mainly on fruit postharvest biology and technology, gene expression (transcriptomics) in species and events with agronomic and industrial relevance, and characterization of plant genetic resources. He contributes to teaching, lecturing, and supervision of graduate thesis and capacity building actions in several Portuguese universities and in the Eduardo Mondlane University, Mozambique. He's author of various book chapters and scientific papers published in international journals.
