Current position: Full Professor, Institut UTINAM, Université de Franche-Comté, Besançon (France) Main research topics: My research topics concern both the elaboration of polymer-based materials using electrochemical techniques and their applications as sensors or for environmental applications. Two main strategies are used for the preparation of polymer-based materials: -the electrochemical synthesis of polymers (original syntheses, standard syntheses, monomers functionalized by organic chemistry, …) and the study of their properties -the development of hybrid materials combining electrodeposited polymers with inorganic compounds (such as metalhexacyanometallates), organic compounds (such as phtalocyanines) or particles (metal oxides). The applications of these polymers mainly concern the two following fields: -Sensors: fabrication of electrochemical microsensors for the detection of gas pollutants (gas sensors) or the detection of biological compounds (biosensors operating in liquid media) -Environment: Decontamination of solutions containing heavy metals by using functionalized organic membranes and/or functionalized inorganic particles
