Qiang Fu

Professor Qiang Fu was born in 1963 in Sichuan, China. He received his Ph.D degree from Sichuan University in polymer processing. From Jan 1995 to Dec 1997, he carried out three years research as a pos-doc in The University of Akron in the USA. Soon after, he received Humboldt-foundation to visit University of Freiburg in Germany as visiting researcher from Aug 1999 to Sep 2000. In 1999, he received his National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. In 2002, he was awarded by Li Ka Shing Foundation, Hong Kong as Cheung Kong Scholar. At present, he is a Professor and the Associate Dean of College of Polymer Science and Engineering at Sichuan University. His main research activities cover the areas including: polymer nanocomposites, the development of morphology and structure changes of polymer blends during processing, etc. In the areas of his research, he has been awarded with many research projects, including: 973 project from Ministry of Science and Technology; Major, Key and General programs from The National Natural Science Fund; major research project from Ministry of Education and Sichuan province, etc. More than 170 scientific papers and 10 patents have been published by the research group lead by him. His papers have more than 1300 citations in SCI. Due to his distinguish achievement and contribution to polymer research field, he has been awarded with more than 8 major awards from Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Education, The National Association of Petrochemical Industry, Sichuan Province, etc.
