Kyoung-Sik Moon received his Ph.D. degree in materials science and engineering from Korea University, Seoul, Republic of Korea. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Materials Science and Engineering Department, Georgia Institute of Technology (GT), Atlanta. Prior to joining the Research Faculty at GT, he was a Research Staff Member of the Microsystems Packaging Research Center, GT, in 2004. In addition, he has authored and coauthored more than 80 papers in peer-reviewed journals, 100 papers in conference proceeding, and several book chapters and has coedited a book. Moon has applied for two US patents and has published a number of invention disclosures on materials for microelectronic packaging applications. His current research interests include nanomaterials for printed electronics, thermal management and fine-pitch interconnection in 3D microelectronic and optoelectronic systems, and next-generation nanoelectrode materials in energy storage systems.
