Majid Soleimani-damaneh

Majid Soleimani-damaneh was born in Jiroft, Iran, in 1978. He received the Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics from the Tarbiat Moallem University of Tehran. Presently, he is an Assistant Professor of applied mathematics in the University of Tehran, an Associate Researcher in IPM, Tehran, Iran, and a researcher of Aalto University, Helsinki, Finland. He was the Deputy of official and financial affaire in the College of Science, University of Tehran, and now he is the head of School of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science at the University of Tehran. He visited some international and national institutes as a researcher, including the Helsinki School of Economic, Aalto University, and Stockholm University. He was the Chairman of International Conference of ORO2011 (January 26-28, 2011) in IPM, Tehran, Iran. He was the First Laureate of Khwarizmi Youth Award in Fundamental Researches Section, 2008, the First Laureate of the National Creativity Award, 2008, Tehran, Iran, and the Laureate of the Outstanding Researcher of University of Tehran, 2011. Soleimani-damaneh was a Guest Editor of two special issues for publication in two journals: Optimization and International Journal of Information Technology and Decision Making. His interests are generalized nonsmooth convexity and optimization in infinite dimensional spaces, linear and nonlinear programming, multiobjective programming, applied and theoretical operations research, and data envelopment analysis. He has published more than 65 papers in prestigious journals and he has refereed more than 80 papers for 45 journals.
