Valentina Medri

Valentina Medri was born in Faenza, Italy, in 1975. She obtained a Master degree in industrial chemistry from the University of Bologna (Italy) in 2000. In 2001, she became a Research Fellow at the University of Limoges (France), in the frame of the European Research Training Network HPRN-CT-2000-00044 “Composite Corrosion”. She obtained a Ph.D. degree in chemical sciences from the University of Bologna (Italy) in 2004 with the topic “Production and Characterization of Nonoxidic Structural Ceramic Composites”. From 2004 to 2006, she was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at CNR-ISTEC of Faenza. She joined CNR-ISTEC in 2007, and since 2008, she became a Research Project Leader. She is an author and coauthor of 35 ISI papers and has more than 30 contributes to national and international conferences. She is an expert of advanced ceramic materials design, production, and characterization. She worked extensively on corrosion and oxidation resistance of ceramics.
