Lijun Liu, Dr. and Professor at School of Energy and Power Engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Shaanxi, Xi'an 710049, China. Professor Liu obtained his Ph.D. degree in power engineering and engineering thermophysics from School of Energy and Power Engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong University in 1999. After graduation, he worked as a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow at Kyushu Institute of Technology, Fukuoka, Japan, from 2000 to 2002. Then he moved to Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan, where he worked as a Research Fellow and then as an Assistant Professor until 2007. Professor Liu has served as a Full Professor at School of Energy and Power Engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong University since April 2007. He was appointed as distinguished Professor at Xi’an Jiaotong University in 2011. Professor Liu’s research topics focus on fundamental researches of thermophysics and mechanics in complicated thermofluid systems and development of concerned key technologies. He has been a long way of research on computer modeling, optimization and control of crystal growth for high efficiency solar cells and LEDs. He has published more than 100 papers in diverse international journals and conferences.
