Krishnasamy T. Selvan received the B.E. (with honors) degree from the Madurai Kamaraj University in 1987, the M.S. degree from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science in 1996, and the Ph.D. (engineering) degree from the Jadavpur University in 2002. Presently he is a Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of the SSN College of Engineering, Kalavakkam, India. Between February 2005 and June 2012, he was an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus, Malaysia, where he taught electromagnetics and related subjects. Prior to joining Nottingham, from January 1988 to February 2005, Professor Selvan was with the Society for Applied Microwave Electronic Engineering and Research, Centre for Electromagnetics, India. Here he was essentially involved in antenna analysis, design, and testing. In early 1994, he held a two-month UNDP Fellowship at the RF Industries, Australia. From 1994 to 1997, he was the Principal Investigator of a collaborative research programme that SAMEER had with NIST, Gaithersburg, Md, USA. Later he was the Project Manager/Leader of some successfully completed antenna development projects. Selvan's original contributions have been chiefly in the areas of printed and rectangular waveguide antennas, antenna metrology, and electromagnetics. In these areas he has published a number of research papers in refereed journals. Selvan was an Editorial Board Member of the International Journal of RF and Microwave Computer-Aided Engineering from 2006 to 2011 and has been an Academic Editor of the International Journal of Antennas and Propagation since 2006. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK. He is a Member of the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (APS) Education Committee and is the Society's IEEE e-Learning Library Coordinator.
