Wei Feng

Wei Feng received his Ph.D. degree in 2000 from the Xi’an Jiaotong University, Shaanxi, China, after contributing to studying on optic-electric properties and device applications of novel conducting polymer, and then worked at the Osaka University and the Tsinghua University as the JSPS Fellow and Postdoctor, respectively. In 2004, he became the Full Professor of Tianjin University for his work on functional nanocarbon materials. Feng received the Youth Science and Technology Prize of Tianjin in 2009; New Century Excellent Talents in Universities Program, 2006; Second Award for Natural Sciences, 2007. In recent years, Professor Feng discovered creativite methods for the design, fabrication, and control of carbon nanomaterials and devices. He has published more than 100 papers, which include 99 papers SCI (50 papers have been published in the last 5 years and 39 papers (IF > 3.0)), 14 world conference papers, and 8 papers are cited in the Index to Scientific and Technical Proceedings (ISTP). More than 50 papers are cited in the Engineering Index. Many of the results of his work are highlighted by Nature or other world famous journals. One paper was cited by other researchers over 170 times. Feng has obtained 15 Chinese patents and been invited to international conferences more than 10 times.
