Abdel-Ouahab Boudraa received his B.S. degree in physics from University of Constantine, Constantine, Algeria, and an Engineer degree in electronics from Educatel (Liege, Belgium). He received the M.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering from INSA-Lyon, Villeurbanne, France; the University degree in nuclear magnetic resonance; the Ph.D. degree in image processing; the University degree in statistics and modeling; the University degree in positron emission tomography; all from the Claude Bernard University Lyon 1, Lyon, France. He also received the Accreditation to Supervise Research (HdR) in signal processing from University of Paris 11, Paris, France. He currently serves as an Associate Professor of electrical engineering at Ecole Navale, Brest, France. His current research interests include computer vision, vector quantization, data structures and analysis, data fusion, time frequency analysis, higher-order energy operators, empirical mode decomposition, hard and fuzzy pattern recognition. Dr. Boudraa is a recipient of 2003 Varian Prize awarded by the Swiss Society of Radiobiology and Medical Physics for the best published paper impacting radiation oncology. Dr. Boudraa is a Senior Member IEEE.
