Sándor Husz was born in Gyula, Hungary, in 1940. He finished his medical studies in 1966 at the University of Szeged, Szeged, Hungary. He has been working at the Department of Dermatology and Allergology, University of Szeged since 1966; presently, he is professor emeritus. He got board certification for dermatovenereology in 1969, for immunology in 1976, and for allergology and clinical immunology in 1985. His scientific degrees are the Ph.D. degree (1978), the D.S. degree (1994), and was habilitated in 1998. He has more than 280 original scientific papers, two books, and 23 book chapters. He is a member or board member of different national and international scientific societies. He received the scientific award Fekete Zoltán (1989), Commemorative Medal Kaposi Mór (1996), and the László Batthyány award (2006).
