Irene Panderi was born in Greece, in 1967. She received the Pharmacy degree and the Ph.D. degree in pharmaceutical analysis from the Department of Pharmacy, University of Athens, Athens, Greece, in 1989 and 1994, respectively. From 1994 to 2000, she served as a Scientific Research Associate at the Department of Pharmacy, University of Athens, Greece. She worked for 5 years as a Hospital Pharmacist in Sotiria General Hospital, Athens, Greece (1996-2000). From 2000 to 2011, she worked as a Lecturer and as an Assistant Professor of pharmaceutical analysis at the Department of Pharmacy, University of Athens, Greece. Currently, she works an Associate Professor at the Division of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Department of Pharmacy, Athens, Greece. Her research field of interests include pharmaceutical analysis, quality control of drugs and cosmetic products, studies of the effect of the use of new substrates in reversed phase liquid chromatography, chromatography of peptides, stability and enzyme kinetic studies in pharmaceuticals using high-performance liquid chromatography, and research in the development of novel analytical methods for the determination of drugs, endogenous substances, and bioactive ingredients in pharmaceuticals, cosmeceuticals, and biofluids, by HPLC, fluorescence derivatization, LC-ESI/MS, LC-iontrap MS, LC-oaTOF-MS, UPLC-ESI tandem MS and LC-qTOF-MS with applications in doping control, pharmacokinetic studies, toxicology, and therapeutic drug monitoring.
