Douglas E. Raines
Douglas Raines received his BA in Chemistry from the University of Virginia and medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston followed by a reserach fellowship at the same institution. Since that time, he has been a staff anesthesiologist at the Massachusetts General Hospital and is currently an Associate Professor of Anaesthesia at Harvard Medical School. His research interests include molecular and receptor mechanisms of general anesthetic action, and the rational design of new anesthetic agents.
