Béla Gyurcsik received the Ph.D. degree in 1998 from JATE University, Szeged, Hungary, and his Habilitation is in progress since 2011. His main research topics are design, synthesis, and investigation of artificial metalloproteins and the interactions of metal ions with biomolecules. He is a chemist, and he took the Advanced Course in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan (2001). He has 67 published scientific papers: 43 in international journals with impact factors, 15 proceedings at international conferences, 1 book chapter in English, 1 book chapter in Hungarian, and 7 publications in Hungarian journals. He also has 507 independent citations.
