Philip Crooke

User Biography : Prof Philip Crooke Dr. Crooke is Professor of Mathematics and Education at Vanderbilt University. Presently, his primary research interest is mathematical modeling in medicine. Recent research projects include: (1) mathematical models for breast cancer risk prediction that are based on the estrogen metabolism pathway; (2) bioinformatic approaches for the prediction of auto-immune disease using gene expression data; (3) modeling the human aortic valve; and (4) mathematical models of mechanical ventilation and their applications to improved healthcare training.
