Pang-Chia Chen received his Junior College degree in electrical engineering from Chung-Cheng Institute of Technology, Taiwan, in 1985, M.S. degree in electronic engineering from Chung Yuan Christian University, Jhongli City, Taiwan, in 1991, and Ph.D. degree in aerospace engineering from University of Texas at Austin, Austin, TX, USA, in 1998. He joined the Department of Aircraft Engineering, Air Force Institute of Technology as an Assistant Professor and as an Associate Professor in 2004. Then, he was an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Kao Yuan University, since 2005, and currently serves at both the Department of Electrical Engineering and Department of Electro-Optical Science and Engineering. He is also a member of Phi Tau Phi Scholastic Honor Society since 1991. His research interests include control systems design and application, fuel cell energy systems, optomechatronic systems integration, and electric vehicles technology.
