Atul Bhargava completed his doctoral thesis from National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow, India, in 2005. He received his Postdoctoral degree from the University of Delhi, New Delhi, India in molecular cytogenetics. He has attended many international conferences and participated as Expositor in Congresso Internacional de la Quinua from 23 to 26 October 2007 and IIIrd Encuentro Nacional de Estudiantes de Biotecnologia from 30 October to 1 November 2007. He has authored 1 book, several book chapters, and over 40 research publications in peer-reviewed journals of high impact factor. Presently, he is engaged in teaching and research at Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Amity University Campus, Lucknow, India. His specialization is plant genetics and plant biotechnology. The main research interests include plant molecular markers, genetic diversity analysis, biochemical analysis, PCR-based technologies, and agrotechnology - plant breeding and agronomy. He is the Editorial Board Member of the following journals: Biotechnology as a Technical Editor, and he serves as an Associate Editor at Asian Journal of Biotechnology, International Journal of Plant Breeding and Genetics, Asian Journal of Plant Sciences, and Asian Journal of Crop Science.
