Mourad Tighiouart is the Associate Director of the Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Research Center at Cedars-Sinai, Los Angeles, USA. Prior to joining the faculty at Cedars-Sinai, Los Angeles, USA, he was the Associate Professor at the Department of the Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Shared Resource of the Winship Cancer Institute, Emory University, Georgia, USA. Dr. Tighiouart's areas of research expertise include dose-toxicity Bayesian models in cancer phase I clinical trials, Bayesian multilevel modeling, and nonparametric Bayesian survival analysis. He has extensive experience doing collaborative research with basic scientists and clinicians in oncology. In particular, he designed dozens of phase I and II cancer clinical trials using frequentist and Bayesian adaptive designs. Dr. Tighiouart earned his M.S. degrees with concentrations in mathematics from the University of Central Florida, Orlando, USA in 1991 and in statistics from Florida State University, Tallahassee, USA in 1997. Dr. Tighiouart earned his Doctorate degree in statistics from Florida State University, Tallahassee, USA in 1998.
