You-Sheng Liang is a Senior Principle Investigator in Jiangsu Institute of Parasitic Diseases and Key Laboratory on Technology for Parasitic Disease Prevention and Control, Ministry of Health, Wuxi, china, and a Professor of pathogenic biology at Jiangsu University, China. His expertise and research interests lie in the field of parasitology, vector (particularly the oncomelania hupensis snails), biology and control, epidemiology, screening of anthelmintic drugs and molluscicides, drug resistance in helminths, and water resources development and public health. Professor Liang completed the B.S. degree at Jiangsu University and M.S. degree in pathogenic biology at Jiangsu Institute of Parasitic Diseases in China before proceeding to Bristol, UK, where he completed a Ph. D. degree in veterinary sciences at the University of Bristol. He is the author or coauthor of over 250 peer-reviewed publications on various aspects of tropical parasitic diseases and drug development and resistance in helminths. He was awarded by the Ministry of Health of China, Jiangsu Provincial Government, Jiangsu Department of Health, Wuxi Municipal Government, and Wuxi Municipal Bureau of Health for his outstanding achievements in tropical parasitic diseases control. Currently he serves as the Deputy-Director of Jiangsu Institute of Parasitic Diseases; Vice-Director of Key Laboratory on Technology for Parasitic Disease Prevention and Control, Ministry of Health, China. He is the Vice-President of Expert Consultant Committee on Schistosomiasis Control, Chinese Society of Endemic Diseases; Steering Committee Member of Chinese Society of Malacology; Member of the Expert Consultant Committee on Diseases Control, Ministry of Health; President of the Schistosomiasis Control Subcommittee of Jiangsu Provincial Society of Endemic Diseases.
