Guoqing Liu
Guoqing Liu received the B.S., M.S., and
Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from
University of Electronic Science and Technology
of China, Chengdu, China, in 1988,
1991, and 1996, respectively. From August
1993 to December 1995, he was a Visiting
Scholar at the Department of Remote Sensing
Applications, Alenia Spazio SPA, Rome,
Italy. In April 1996, he joined the faculty at
the Department of Electronic Engineering,
University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, where
he has been an Associate Professor since July 1996. He was with the
Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of
Florida, Gainesville, Fla, USA, as a Postdoctoral Research Associate
from November 1998 to August 2000 and from September 2001 to
March 2005. From August 2000 to August 2001, he was a Senior
Research Associate at the Department of Electronic and Computer
Engineering, Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, Ill, USA, as
well as a Contractor at the Global Software Group, Motorola Inc.,
Elk Grove Village, Ill, USA. He has been a principal Systems Engineer
with BAE Systems, Los Angeles, Calif, USA, since March 2005.
He is a Senior Member of IEEE. His expertise and research interest
include LFM-CW radar system analysis and design, SAR/ISAR
signal processing and image formation, polarimetric SAR, spectral
analysis, array signal processing, and automatic target recognition.
