Nicolaos Vitoratos graduated from the University of Athens Medical School in 1971. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology in 1978 in the Aretaieion Hospital and received his Ph.D. degree from Athens University Medical School. He further specialized in high-risk pregnancies and perinatal medicine at Queen Charlot Maternity Hospital in London. His main scientific interest and clinical research is in high-risk pregnancy and perinatal medicine in general. Since 2003, he serves as the Director of the High-Risk Pregnancy Unit of the Aretaieion Hospital. He is currently a Member of ten Greek and six international scientific societies. He has published 117 scientific articles in international medical journals and another 71 articles in Greek medical journals. he has served as an Advisor in 15 Ph.D. theses. Currently, He works as an Associated Professor of obstetrics and gynecology at University of Athens.
