Giancarlo Consolo was born in Messina on June 24th 1980. Consolo received a degree in electronic engineering summa cum laude from University of Messina, Italy, in 2004 and obtained a Ph.D. degree in advanced technologies for the optoelectronics, photonics, and electromagnetic modeling from University of Messina, Messina, Italy, in 2008.In 2009, he got postdoc grant on magnetization dynamics induced by spin-polarized currents, CNISM Ferrara, Italy. He has been working as a Researcher in mathematical physics at University of Messina, since 2011. Consolo teaches industrial mathematics, applied mathematics, and mathematical methods for engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Messina, Italy. Consolo is a Member in IEEE Magnetics Society, Indam-GNFM. He has 50 publications on international journals, more than 70 contributions on international conferences, 25 contributions on national conferences, 6 invited talks, 3 book chapters and editor of 3 books. His research fields are spintronics, micromagnetism, applied mathematics, biological models, and wave propagation.
