Thomas T.H. Wan, Ph.D., MHS, is Professor of Public Affairs and Health Management & Informatics in the College of Health and Public Affairs, and holds a joint appointment in Medicine, the College of Medicine at University of Central Florida (UCF). He served as Director of the Doctoral Program in Public Affairs (2004-2010). Before joining UCF, he was Professor of the Department of health Administration, Medical College of Virginia Campus, Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), Richmond, Virginia. He held the Arthur Graham Glasgow Chair (1991-1999) at VCU. His research interests are centered in managerial epidemiology, health services evaluation, and healthcare informatics. His published work includes: 1) Promoting the Well-being of the Elderly: A Community Diagnosis (Haworth Press, 1982); 2) Stressful Life Events and Gerontological Health (Lexington Books, 1982); 3) Well-being of the Elderly: Preventive Strategies (Lexington Books, 1985); 4) Analysis and Evaluation of Health Care Systems: An Integrated Managerial Decision Making Approach (Health Professions Press, 1995); 5) Evidence-Based Health Care Management: Multivariate Modeling Approaches (Kluwer Academic Publishers, 2002); 6) Monitoring the Quality of Health Care: Issues and Scientific Approaches (Kluwer Academic Publishers, 2003); 7) Creating Values for Health Care Organizations: A Guide to Successful Integrated Care (Yeh Yeh Publishing Company, 2004).; 8) Healing Environment (Wu Nan Publishers, 2007); 9) Improving the Quality of Care in Nursing Homes: An Evidence-Based Approach (Johns Hopkins University Press, 2010), etc. He has published more than 150 scientific articles in major journals.
