Actively engaged in research and teaching with 15 years of experience at National level institutions including experience of guiding research at doctoral and post-graduate level. CSIR-UGC-NET and GATE Qualified. Awarded prestigious INSA Medal for Young Scientist in 2009. Post-doctoral research experience at leading international institutions like MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas, USA, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, Insititute of Genomics and Intregrative Biology, Delhi and Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. Joined the Division of Molecular Oncology, Institute of Cytology and Preventive Oncology (ICMR) as a senior staff scientist in 2004 and later promoted to Scientist D and Head of the Division where I am involved in planning and execution of various projects related to understanding the molecular mechanism of carcinogenesis, host-virus interactions with special reference to human papillomavirus (HPV)-induced carcinogenesis, HPV diagnosis and development of new anti-HPV therapeutics. I have guided 4 Ph.Ds. 2 MD and 1 MDS. Currently guiding 8 Ph.Ds. in my Lab. Area of specialization: Molecular Oncology, Tumor Immunology, Molecular Diagnosis, Molecular Pharmacology, Cancer Stem Cell Biology, Host-Virus Interactions, Transcriptional Regulation
