Pavel Lejcek

Pavel Lejcek received his M.S. degree from Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), prague, 1968–1973; Ph.D. degree from Institute of Physical Metallurgy, Brno,1978–1982; and Sc.D. degree from Academy of Science, Czech Republic, 1996. Since 2005, he is a Professor of Metallurgy, ICT, Prague. Since 1973, he is head of the Department of Metals Institute of Physics, Academy of Science, Czech Republic. Since 2002, he is Lecturer at the Department of Metals and Corrosion Engineering, ICT, and presently he is professor of metallurgy. Pavel Lejcek received the Prize of the Czech Academy of Science, Japan,1998; Government Research Award for Foreign Specialists, 1997, Memorial Medal of the Faculty of Metallurgy, Technical University of Kosice, Slovakia, 2002. He is also included in Contemporary Who’s Who American Biogranic Institute, Raleigh, USA, and Who’s Who in Science and Technology, Marquis, New Providence, International Peace Prize, United Culture Convention, USA, 2005. He is Member of MRS, AACG, ASM, Czech Chemical Society, Czech Association of Crystal Growth, and in the Editorial Board of Surface and Interface Analysis, Scientific Council, Faculty of Chemical Technology, ICT, Prague, Elected Member of the Academic Assembly AS CR, Association of School of Materials Science, IAB conference, ECASIA. His fields of study are crystal growth, interfacial segregation, grain boundary migration and corrosion, and grain boundary engineering.
