User Biography : Prof Miao Jin Miao Jin is an Assistant Professor at the Center for Advanced Computer Studies, University of Louisiana at Lafayette since Fall 2008. She received the Ph.D. and M.S.degrees in Computer Science from Stony Brook University in 2008 and 2006, respectively, and the B.S. degree in Computer Science from Beijing University of Posts & Telecommunication in 2000. Her overall research goal is to provide a bridge between modern geometry and broad engineering fields. She is particularly interested in Computational Conformal Geometry, Computational Hyperbolic Geometry, and Computational Quasiconformal Geometry, and their applications in Computer Graphics, Computer Vision, Wireless Sensor Networks, Medical Imaging, and Geometric Modeling.
