Norio Iriguchi

Norio Iriguchi serves as a Professor Emeritus at the Kumamoto University in Japan and concurrently as a Research Professor of the Tokyo Institute of Technology. Iriguchi is specialized in MRI technologies. Iriguchi was born in 1947 and obtained a Ph.D. degree in engineering from the University of Tokyo, Japan. Iriguchi worked for Asahi Kasei Corporation from 1971 to 2002 and concurrently for the National Institutes of Health in the US from 1977 to 1978, Siemens AG from 1989 to 1998, and the Kumamoto University from 2002 to 2012. Iriguchi has experience in developing the world first 2 Tesla MRI machine (1986) and carbon-13 MR imaging technologies for humans (1987).
