Sheikh Iqbal Ahamed
Sheikh Iqbal Ahamed is a faculty member in the Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science at Marquette University, USA. He is also the Director of the Ubicomp Research Lab at Marquette University. He is a Member of the IEEE, ACM, and the IEEE Computer Society. Dr. Ahamed received the B.S. degree in computer science and engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Bangladesh, in 1995. He completed his Ph.D. degree in computer science from Arizona State University, USA, in 2003. His research interests are security in ad hoc networks, middleware for ubiquitous/pervasive computing, sensor networks, pervasive healthcare, and RFID. He has also developed several pervasive computing systems using PDAs, cell phones, RFIDs, Motes on 802.11, and Bluetooth and ZigBee wireless networks. He serves regularly on international conference program committees in software engineering and pervasive computing such as COMPSAC 04, COMPSAC 05, COMPSAC 06, SAC 07 and ICPS 07. He is the Program Cochair of International Workshop on Security, Privacy, and Trust for Pervasive Computing Applications (SPTPA 2006).
