Guy M. Genin, Ph.D., serves as an Associate Professor of mechanical engineering and materials science at Washington University in St. Louis and a Member of the Washington University Center for Innovation in Neuroscience and Technology and the Washington University Center for Materials Innovation. His expertise is in interfaces and attachments in physiology and nature, and he has active research programs studying the attachment of tendon to bone, the attachment of plant cell cytoskeletons to cellulose, interfaces between cell types in cardiac fibrosis, and the role of interfacial lipid phases in viral replication. He is also active in the development of neurosurgical tools and methods.
